Grigor Pavlov - Founder and Head of SEO at SeoWebDesign

My name is Grigor Pavlov, and I am the founder and Head of SEO at SeoWebDesign. I founded the company in May 2010, and SEO has been a constant part of my professional journey ever since.

Over the years, I have worked on websites for companies in Bulgaria, the European Union, the United States and Southeast Asia. Every market has its own particularities, but good work always starts in the same way - by understanding the business, the people it wants to reach and the real obstacles holding the website back.

More than 15 years of practical experience

My work has never been limited to rankings and keywords. SEO affects how a website is built, how its content is organised, whether search engines can understand it and whether visitors find what they came for.
That is why I take part in both strategy planning and practical implementation. I analyse technical issues, organise content and URL structures, set priorities and track whether the changes actually lead to better results.

How I approach SEO

For me, good SEO is not a sequence of isolated tasks completed from a template. A technical issue may actually be a structural problem. Two strong pages can get in each other's way if they answer the same search. More content does not always mean a better website.

When I analyse a project, I look for the cause behind the visible symptom. My goal is to find a solution that is right not only for search engines, but also for the business and the people using the website. Sometimes that means creating something new. At other times, the better solution is to improve, consolidate or remove existing content.

What I work on most often

Technical SEO

I work on crawling and indexing issues, HTTP status codes, canonical signals, robots.txt and noindex rules, JavaScript rendering and structured data. Technical SEO is valuable when it does not stop at an audit, but leads to clear, practical changes to the website.

Content and URL architecture

I help give every important topic a clear place and a distinct role within the website. This includes distinguishing search intent, choosing the primary page for each topic, preventing SEO cannibalisation and building topical clusters without creating unnecessary, overlapping URLs.

E-commerce SEO

A strong structure is particularly important for online stores. I work with categories, product pages, filters, product variations, discontinued and out-of-stock products, Product schema and Merchant Center. The goal is to make the store understandable to search engines and easy to use for people choosing and buying products.

Link building and authority development

I plan link-building strategies around the website's real priorities. I assess not only a source's metrics, but also its subject, context and audience. For me, the value of a link comes from where and why it is placed, not simply from its presence on a page.

AI search optimisation

I follow how AI systems discover, understand and use information from websites. I work to improve visibility in generative search without separating it from the foundations of SEO. A website must first be technically accessible, logically structured and a reliable source of clear information.

WordPress and web development

My practical experience with WordPress and website development helps me assess every SEO recommendation from an implementation perspective as well. It is not enough for an idea to sound right - it must be possible to implement it without creating new problems for the website.

My role at SeoWebDesign

At SeoWebDesign, I set the strategic direction of our SEO projects and take part in the decisions that matter most to their development. I work alongside the team on technical optimisation, content, website structure and authority building.

I do not believe in universal formulas. Two websites in the same sector can have completely different problems and require a different order of work. That is why every recommendation should have a specific reason behind it and a clear place within the overall strategy.

What authorship means to me

My name appears as the author only on materials that I have edited and approved and that I stand behind with my professional experience.

For me, authorship is more than a name beneath a title. It means taking responsibility for the accuracy of the information, the clarity of the subject and its practical value for the reader. When a piece of content no longer reflects changes in search engines, technology or official documentation, it should be reviewed and updated.
